The Department of Transportation has plans to close I-71 both directions between I-70 and I-670 for a bridge demolition this weekend. The closure was planned for 10 p.m. Friday through 5 a.m. Monday to take down the north half of the East Broad Street bridge.

Demolition/Renovations Begins on Delaware State Campground
Crews started the demolition/renovation Monday at Delaware State Campground. The process is scheduled to take up to 4 months.
The campground facility will close Sunday, February 13th at 5PM. All tenants and guest must have all necessary items and belongings out of the campground by 4:30PM. There will be NO access to the facility until work is completed.
The Bar demolition approved, but city wants a redevelopment plan
The Main Bar building is coming down, but the property’s future is not yet set.
The Downtown Commission Tuesday voted 5-1 to demolish the building at 16 W. South St., a two-story structure that dates back to the 1890s and has spent most of its life as a local watering hole. Its last iteration, The Bar, closed in February.

Demolition Begins at Madison Marshall Mall
Crews started the demolition process Monday at the Madison Marshall Mall. The once crowded mall will no longer be an eyesore to the community. The mall has been closed since 2015 due to structural concerns.
